1. UCLAx CareerBridge (via UCLA Extension)
- Offers professional training in high-demand fields such as Data Science, Alcohol & Drug Counseling, and Early Childhood Education—designed for adult learners advancing or pivoting in their careers.
- Supported by state grants to reduce financial barriers and help participants qualify for new employment paths.
2. UCLA Extension – Certificate & Career Services
- Provides 150+ evening, weekend, and online certificate programs across industries—ideal for mid-life career changers.
- Extension students get support via the Career Services office, offering job boards, employer events, and targeted resume/interview workshops.
- Adults 65+ can also benefit from tuition discounts on instructional costs.
3. UCLA Alumni Late-Career Resources
Hosted by the UCLA Alumni Association, these services cater specifically to adult alumni in this life stage:
- “2nd Act” program: tailored for Bruins in their 50s and beyond, focusing on ongoing learning, health optimization, volunteering, and personal reinvention.
- Career Coaches Network + Webinars: resources such as résumé clinics for career changers, transitioning into encore careers, and expert-led sessions.
- UCLA ONE and Bruin Professionals: robust alumni networks for mentorship, industry connections, and networking.
4.UCLA Alumni Career Engagement Workshop
- Hosted periodically by UCLA Alumni Career Engagement—workshops like “Rediscover Your Career Spark,” “Mastering LinkedIn,” and “Build a Resilient Career”—address career transitions and self-branding.
- Often open to mid- and late-career attendees, helping with clarity, networking, and launching new paths later in life

Though geared more toward students, alumni often attend career fairs, employer panels, and information sessions geared toward professional development in later career stages.
