To enhance access for older adults to the university's range of health and wellness programs and its arts and cultural activities.

1. Emeriti and Reitree Resource Center
a. ERRC’s service to 18,500 retirees / emeriti, its regular workshops, arts & culture events catered to our retired faculty and staff such as tickets to the LA Opera, football games, “Bruin Legacy Tours” to places on campus, and more!

2. Health, Wellness & Family Support – Semel Institute
a. SAIL: an exercise program for adults 65+ which focuses on strength, balance, fitness. Semel Institute
b. MARC (Mindful Awareness Research Center): Free mindfulness classes etc likely open broadly across age. Semel Institute
c. UCLA Arts & Healing “Hope Series”: free, online arts programming supporting resilience & social‑emotional health. Semel Institute CAP UCLA – Art in Action / Free Public Programs
d. Semel Healthy Campus Initiative Center: Though many of its programs focus on student wellness, one key aim is “enhancing access to information and opportunities and by working to meet individuals where they are at.” Its guiding principles include physical, mental, social well‑being; creating a “healthy built environment,” reducing inequities.
e. These institutional values also support older adult access.

3. CAP UCLA runs “Art in Action:”Events are free, open to public, include workshops, lectures, master classes, art‑making, etc. These lower financial and admission barriers; older adults can take part.

4. Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden:A free public botanical garden on UCLA campus, open year‑round.
a. Good for nature walks, low‑intensity outings, open space which is often more accessible and soothing.
